Hi, I'm Krysta. I live in Ellicott City, Maryland, and I built this website to have one place to put all my interests, my hobbies, my businesses, and the things I just want to share with people. If it also gives me a chance to meet new people and help a few of them along the way, that's even better.

Animals have always been my biggest passion. I've had cats and dogs my whole life, and after over three decades on this earth, I've realized that caring for animals is my true purpose, not just something I enjoy. I can tell by the way animals respond to me, and I've heard the same thing from pet parents I've worked with.

It took me a while to get here, though. Before this, I spent years climbing a corporate ladder that never made me happy. Eventually I realized I needed to make a real change, so here I am, building a life and a website around what brings me joy and happiness while hopefully doing the same for others.

Beyond animals, I love researching, solving problems, and figuring out how to make things better. I've taught myself how to build websites (you're looking at one right now) and mobile apps. I'm working on an app right now that I think could improve how the real estate industry works. I used to hold a real estate license myself, and let it expire because of how frustrating the industry can be. Maybe this is how I fix that. You can check it out at hommie.app.

My garden is another one of my passion projects. I grow fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers, and I'm a little obsessed with my pollinator garden and all the bees and butterflies it brings in.

I also love researching products and people until I find the right fit. It took me about a dozen vet visits before I found one I loved. Because it takes me so long to land on things I trust, I built two pages on this site just to share the people and products I love, in case they save you some of that searching.

At the end of the day, this website is where I put everything I care about in one place, in the hope that it can help someone. Helping people brings me real joy. Sometimes that's something small, like holding a door or paying a compliment, and sometimes I hope it's something bigger, using the skills I've built in this new chapter of my life.
